Version 3.0 is the largest release since the editor overhaul in 2.0. Every CTPM now moves through a guided review that ends in a recorded sign-off, templates have moved out of individual studies and onto the dashboard, and the Schedule of Activities exports as a PDF. Every screen was restyled along the way.

Salix is the third major release of Concordare. Olea proved a protocol could be structured into a Clinical Trial Protocol Model. Cercis made that model the single source every study artifact is generated from. This release is about the work that happens around that generation: who reviewed the model, who signed it, what it looked like when they signed, and how little friction there is between a protocol PDF and a document worth sending to a sponsor.

The shape of the app changed to match. Templates moved out of individual studies, the Schedule of Activities was rebuilt, and every screen was restyled onto one consistent set of controls. Approval stopped being a label and became a gate.

Templates live on the dashboard rather than inside one study. The Schedule of Activities exports as a PDF. And nothing leaves the platform until the underlying CTPM has been approved.

Guided CTPM Review and Sign-Off

A CTPM sitting between an Apta run and approval now opens in review mode instead of dropping you into a form. The guide walks the model section by section and stops at every item, so review is something you complete rather than something you assert.

  • Guided section walk

    The review opens on an overview page and moves through each section in order, stopping at every item so it can be marked reviewed individually.

  • Progress rings

    Each section's ring in the sidebar fills as its items are marked and closes once the section is attested, so completeness is visible without opening anything.

  • Signature-matched sign-off

    Sign Off unlocks only when every section is fully reviewed. Signing requires typing your account name, and the version bump is suggested from what actually changed.

  • Partial review cannot be signed

    Un-reviewing a single item re-locks sign-off everywhere, so there is no path to a signature over an incomplete review.

  • Break the glass

    An approved CTPM opens read only. Making changes requires the sign-off permission and returns the CTPM to draft with every review mark intact, so a small correction does not cost you the whole review.

CTPM Version History

Every CTPM has a full history page: a version rail, a grouped timeline of what changed and who changed it, and side-by-side comparison of any two versions. The history exports as a CSV, and each sign-off produces a downloadable review certificate PDF. Between the certificate and the compare view, the question of who approved a given version, and what it said when they did, has a documented answer.

The Schedule of Activities, Rebuilt and Exportable

The SOA was the most-used read-only surface in the app and the least changed since it shipped. This release rebuilt it and gave it a real export.

  • PDF export with a live preview

    An export pane previews the exact file as you change options: sort order, orientation, whether to include timing and footnotes, and your institution's logo. It replaces the workaround of printing from the browser.

  • Required or optional at a specific visit

    An activity can be required at some visits and optional at others, set from a service's Schedule section or by right-clicking a cell. Optional renders as a dashed circle and required as a filled dot, in the viewer and in the PDF.

  • Arm scope in one control

    Comparing arms moved into the arm dropdown as All Arms (Separate) and All Arms (Merged). Where arms disagree at a visit, the cell shows paired arm-colored dots and names each arm's state on hover.

  • Readable at real protocol sizes

    Visit headers show the phase and stay pinned as you scroll, long visit names print on an upward diagonal instead of being cut off, long schedules break across pages with the service column repeated, and footnote text is collected at the end.

Templates Leave the Study

A template belongs to your team, not to one study, but reaching one used to mean opening some study, any study, and editing the row every other study read from. Templates now have their own section on the dashboard and the in-study Template Builder tab is retired.

Because a template is study agnostic, previewing one still needs a study to hydrate against. A study picker supplies that context without leaving the templates view, and a template can be dragged straight onto a study row to start a document from it.

AI Smart Layout Builder

A Smart Layout can start from a written description instead of the step-by-step builder. Describe the layout you want and Concordare drafts a validated version across the whole CTPM, which you can then refine by asking for changes in Describe mode or by editing scope and fields directly in Guided mode. The same capability is available to an AI assistant connected over MCP.

Approval Became a Gate

CTPM approval previously enforced nothing, which meant a document could be generated from unreviewed study data and taken out into the world. Generating and exporting documents is now blocked until the study's CTPM is approved, and study-level Smart Elements are disabled in the editor while it is not.

Template building is deliberately not gated. Templates are an organizational concern rather than a regulated one, and they are built outside study context, so that work continues regardless of any CTPM's state.

A New Look

Buttons, menus, tabs, dialogs, tooltips, and form controls across every screen now come from one set, with updated typography throughout. Older surfaces that had drifted from the newer ones match them again. The practical effect is that a control behaves the same way wherever you meet it.

Improvement

Template Versions Remember Their Smart Elements

A template version used to pull the current version of every Smart Element it referenced, so reopening an old version could render differently than it did when it was saved. Each version now stores the Smart Element versions in use at save time. Template Compare gained a Smart Elements tab showing which of those versions differ between two template versions, so a change made inside an element no longer reads as no difference at all.
